When I search for articles, I am asked to pay to download. Why?

Answer

Make sure you access databases, ebooks, and ejournals through the library website. If you go through the library, the publishers of these articles and books will know you are current faculty, student, or staff at Salve and have paid subscription access. If you search starting from Google, then you will not be able to access the subscription materials that the library provides, and you may be asked to pay for resources.

If Salve does not subscribe to the resource you need, you can place an interlibrary loan request, and we can hopefully get it for you for free or at minimal cost.
