How do I return my books?

Answer

You can return library books and DVDs either by dropping them in the book return drop outside the library's back door or bringing them to the library front desk.

If you are remote, you can also return materials by mailing them via your local US Postal Service, using the Media Mail rate. However, please note that you are responsible for the value of all items returned by mail until they arrive at McKillop Library.

To mail your books:

1) Package them in a box with bubble wrap or crumpled paper (so they don't jostle around too much in shipment)

2) Address the box to:

ATTN: McKillop Library Circulation
Salve Regina University
100 Ochre Point Ave
Newport, RI 02840

3) When you are at the post office or purchasing your postage label online, choose the Media Mail option. Media Mail is a cheaper rate for packages that contain books, DVDs, etc. because those books are heavy and USPS knows it!

You can check the status of books checked out to you by logging in to your library account. If you have questions about your library account, email the Circulation department at slcirc@salve.edu .
